Missouri men's golfers win Virginia tournament

The Missouri men's golf team won its second-straight tournament Tuesday at the C&F Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va. The Tigers shot a 287 on Tuesday and finished with a two-round score of 575, seven shots ahead of second-place William & Mary.

Redshirt freshman Jace Long was medalist at 139 (69-70) over 36 holes. Freshman Stuart Ballingall tied for eighth with a 144 and freshman Michael Garden had a 146 for 12th.

Missouri won the George Washington Invitational last weekend. The win in Williamsburg is the third tournament title of the 2009-10 season.

The medalist honor was the first of Long's career. He now has five top-five finishes.
