COLUMBIA — Anthony J. Tunstall, sought by police in connection with a shooting outside Waffle House on Vandiver Drive, turned himself in to the Boone County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday.
Police said in a news release that Tunstall fired shots into a group of people outside the Vandiver Waffle House early in the morning on March 11. No one was hurt. A warrant was issued last week for Tunstall's arrest on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, a Class B felony, with bail set at $100,000.
Tunstall was being held in the Boone County Jail on Thursday morning, Columbia Police Department Public Information Officer Jessie Haden said.
Another suspect, Ronsanto Cole, was arrested March 17 on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon. Police said he drove the 2001 white Honda Accord from which the shots were fired.
Cole was being held in the Boone County Jail on Thursday with bail set at $500,000.
