LETTER: Wade is experienced, responsible candidate

Friday, March 26, 2010 | 4:13 p.m. CDT; updated 7:26 p.m. CDT, Friday, March 26, 2010

"The Mayor of Columbia" is not only an honorary title. McDavid has evidently long chosen not to participate in city commissions or to compete for — or serve on — the City Council. City government involves real issues and real people with different degrees of interest and involvement and fostering informed, general agreements.

Jerry Wade is experienced in city government from commissions to Council. He is aware and faces the city's economic budget crunch; he works with every level of persons involved towards responsible, responsive, open city government, inclusive economic development and environmental stewardship.

Let's elect Jerry Wade Columbia's Mayor!

I like Sid Sullivan, Karl Skala and Tracy Greever-Rice, but that must just be me.
