Ballingall takes first place in tournament for Missouri men's golf

Missouri men's golfer Stuart Ballingall won first place Tuesday at the UALR/First Tee Classic in Little Rock, Ark., and the Tigers finished second in team standings.

Ballingall, a freshman, completed rounds of 69, 63 and 69 to finish in first place with a final score of 201. Missouri finished with a 54-hole score of 873, which was eight shots behind tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana. The Tigers finished one shot ahead of Central Arkansas, who took third place.

Junior William Harrold tied for fifth place with an overall score of 215. Freshman Michael Garden tied for 41st place, sophomore Chris Johnson tied for 64th place, and redshirt freshman Jace Long tied for 82nd place.

The Tigers will host the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate tournament April 12 and 13 at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
