I think that Jerry Wade is the best candidate for mayor. Jerry has the No. 1 qualification for the position: He has terrific "on-the-job" experience as a well-seasoned member of our City Council. Jerry is a team player; his personable rapport with the fellow citizens, the city staff and other members of the Council has proven itself to be superlative. In my conversations with him during in-home meetings, Wade has made it clear to me that his stances on the key issues of this campaign are forward-looking and not conditioned by the interests of an elite, well-moneyed few. He intimately knows where we have been as a civic community, and he understands where we need to be headed during the next decade. I especially appreciate the modest dimensions of his political "lawn signs" during this campaign. No oversized ego with Jerry Wade!
LETTER: Wade knows where we need to be headed
