COLUMBIA — George Justice will become dean of the MU Graduate School and vice provost for advanced studies on May 1, according to an MU news release.

Justice has been serving as interim dean of the school since July 1.

Justice has been an MU faculty member since 2002. He served as director of graduate studies for the department of English and assistant and associate dean of the Graduate School. He's also taught at Marquette University and Louisiana State University.

In a press release, University of Missouri Provost Brian Foster said he has been impressed with Justice's positive vision for the Graduate School and his interest in creating campus-wide discussion on the national issues in graduate education.
