The Rock Bridge girls soccer team lost 1-0 on Tuesday at Jefferson City, unable to recover from a Jays goal in the first minute of play.

After the Jefferson City goalkeeper saved a Rock Bridge shot on goal, the keeper's punt was misplayed, allowing Jays striker Ashley Clark to score on a fast break.

Rock Bridge (3-2) attempted to rally, outshooting the Jays 15-6, but never connected. Mary Bowman had five of the Bruins' shots on goal, and Anna Alioto had four.

The Bruins are set to play Friday and Saturday at the Kickapoo Invitational in Springfield, Mo.
