COLUMBIA — Missouri's second Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday will be from Monday, April 19 through Sunday, April 25.
People who purchase new Energy Star-qualified appliances will save at least 4.225 percent because of the elimination of the state's sales tax from the purchase, according to a release from the Missouri Department of Revenue.
The Columbia Mall special district tax will also be waived on purchases made in that district.
Qualified appliances must be purchased during the holiday and have the Energy Star label. Applicable appliances include: clothes washers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps.
The sales tax exemption only applies to the first $1,500 on each appliance. The regular sales tax rate is in affect for any amount of the purchase price above $1,500.

The Energize Missouri Appliance Rebate Program also starts April 19.
