Farmer finds body in field near Harrisonville

HARRISONVILLE — Cass County authorities said a farmer discovered a man's body in a field near Harrisonville.

Cass County Sheriff Cpl. Kevin Tieman said the body was found Tuesday afternoon in a field south of Harrisonville.

The body was that of male in his early-to-mid 20s. The Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the man's identity and cause of death.
