ST. LOUIS — St. Louis is on the short list to host the NCAA Division I men's hockey championship in 2013 or 2014.

The St. Louis Sports Commission made the announcement Monday. A final decision will be made by June.

St. Louis hosted the Frozen Four in 2007.

In addition to seeking the hockey championships, the Sports Commission recently submitted bids for the 2012 USA Gymnastics Visa Championships and the 2013 and 2014 NCAA wrestling championships.

The city has already been awarded the NCAA Division III women's volleyball championship for Nov. 18-20 at Washington University; the NCAA wrestling championships next March at Scottrade Center; and the NCAA men's basketball Midwest Regional March 23-25 at the Edward Jones Dome.
