MU recognized its outstanding athletes at the ROARS Awards at Mizzou Arena on Monday. In addition to individual recognitions, the department of athletics recognized teams for community service and best overall academic and athletic record. The student athletes also said goodbye to track and field coach Richard McGuire, who is retiring after 27 years. This was the first year the dinner and ceremony were open to the public.
