The Rock Bridge girls soccer team lost 4-3 on Wednesday at Lee's Summit West.

The Bruins (9-11-2) trailed 2-1 at half, came back to tie at 3, but couldn't prevent the Titans from scoring the game-winner.

"It doesn't make sense to say this after a defeat, but we played really well," Bruins coach Marc Vandover said by phone. "Lee's Summit West is one of the top teams in the state, and we gave them a good game."

Carmen Boessen scored Rock Bridge's first half goal on a header off an assist from Morgan Pitchford. Anna Alioto got hot with goals in the 62nd and 75th minutes to pull the Bruins even. Kelsey Teimler assisted on the first and Lexi Bumby assisted on the second.
