CAPE GIRARDEAU — Bargain-hunters in southeast Missouri could be in for a treat starting Thursday: A yard sale. A really, really big yard sale.

It's the annual 100-Mile Yard Sale along Route 25 that stretches from Jackson to Kennett. The Southeast Missourian reports the popular annual event is expected to attract shoppers from several states through Memorial Day.

The yard sale began in 1999. Communities along the route are hoping that in addition to stopping at various homes, churches and other yard sale spots, visitors will also check out tourist attractions and restaurants.
