Shots fired at Tiger Village Apartments

COLUMBIA — The Columbia Police Department confirmed there were shots fired at approximately 6 p.m. Friday night at Tiger Village Apartments near Worley and Stadium.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the foot, treated at a hospital and released, a news release from the Police Department said. There were no other injuries.

After the incident, officers were inspecting a hole they found in a wall at the complex and were searching for weapon casings on the ground.

Police were not able to provide any additional information as of 9:30 p.m.
