COLUMBIA — Police have confirmed one man reported missing last week was found safe in Tennessee, but the other has yet to be located.

Public Information Officer Jessie Haden said Richard “Rick” French, who was reported missing Wednesday, was found in Tennessee unharmed. She said French went to Tennessee for personal reasons and there was no known criminal activity or foul play involved.

Edward Acosta has yet to be located. He disappeared after being released from University Hospital on May 28. Acosta’s family continues to search for information and the Columbia Police Department is still investigating. If you have any information, call 573-874-7652.
