The 14-and-under Columbia Spirit fastpitch softball team finished second at the Independent Fastpitch Association’s “Columbia Challenge” tournament on June 5-6, 2010 at Antimi Softball Complex in Columbia. The Spirit won two games in its pool including one game over the eventual champion, the Mid-Missouri Ricochet from Jefferson City, 2-1. The Spirit also beat teams from Columbia and Canton. The Spirit lost the championship game to the Ricochet, 12-6.
