Flood watch posted for Boone County

COLUMBIA — A flash flood watch has been issued through Wednesday morning for Columbia and Boone County.

The National Weather Service in St. Louis was forecasting another round of thunderstorms Tuesday night that could produce 1 to 2 inches of rain with locally higher amounts. Runoff could lead to flash flooding to low-lying areas and local streams, creeks and rivers.
