Sobriety checkpoint planned for Boone County

COLUMBIA — A sobriety checkpoint is planned for one night between now and Sunday in Boone County, according to a press release from the Boone County Sheriff's Department.

The checkpoint will begin in the late evening and end in the early morning of the following day. The specific date and location has not been announced. Drivers should expect minimal delays, according to the release.

The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation Division of Highway Safety.
