COLUMBIA — MU officials are holding a 4 p.m. news conference at Mizzou Arena to "address developments in the Big 12 Conference," according to a release from the university.
Chancellor Brady Deaton, Athletic Director Mike Alden and UM System President Gary Forsee are expected to attend.
Reports indicate that MU will remain part of the Big 12. The conference threatened to capsize following high-profile defections by Nebraska and Colorado to the Big Ten and the Pac-10 conferences, respectively, but has been bolstered by announcements that several universities have declined to join the Pac-10.
Check back with the Missourian for live coverage of the news conference at Mizzou Arena.
