Hundreds of riders travel Missouri Katy Trail

SEDALIA — More than 300 bicyclists poured into Sedalia on the final leg of their trip across Missouri via the Katy Trail.

The riders traveled the entire 225-mile hiking, biking and equestrian trail over five days to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The Sedalia Democrat reported that the cyclists came from than 30 states and ranged from 6 years old to 81 years old.

Missouri's Katy Trail stretches from Machens near St. Louis west to Clinton, which is 77 miles southeast of Kansas City. The ride started Monday and ended Friday in Clinton.
