FARMINGTON — A fire truck crashed on its way to a fire in eastern Missouri, injuring six firefighters.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the truck was on a highway near Farmington early Sunday when it veered off the highway and flipped.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that five of the firefighters had minor injuries. The driver was flown by helicopter to a suburban St. Louis hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
