Boone County Sheriff's Department records 9 DWI arrests over holiday weekend

COLUMBIA — Nine people were arrested for driving while intoxicated as part of the Boone County Sheriff Department's Fourth of July weekend patrols, according to a department news release.

The "You Drink & Drive. You Lose" campaign also resulted in two arrests for minor in possession and one arrest for an ignition interlock violation. There also were two arrests and three citations written for offenses unrelated to alcohol, according to the release.
