The Missouri 4-H Shooting Team won the National 4-H Shooting Sports Invitational from June 28 through last Friday in Kerrville, Texas.

The victory was the first time the Missouri team won the Tom Davidson Trophy in the tournament’s 11-year history. Before this year, Missouri had placed second in the invitational for seven consecutive years behind Texas, this year's runner-up.

Competition included 28 states and more than 600 participants competing in nine events including compound archery, recurve archery, air pistol, air rifle, small bore pistol, small bore rifle, muzzle loading, shotgun and hunting skills.

Full results of the competition can be found on the National 4-H Shooting Sports Web site.
