LETTER: Scott Christianson has the needed skills to be Boone County presiding commissioner

Tuesday, July 13, 2010 | 12:48 p.m. CDT

On August 3, I will be voting for Scott Christianson for Boone County presiding commissioner.

I met Scott in 1993 when he was establishing a distance learning network among five rural high schools and Central Methodist University. This program was the first in the state and greatly expanded the educational opportunities for many students. This was a formidable task, but one at which Scott excelled.

I was impressed by his calm demeanor and ability to problem solve and to work effectively with all of these academic institutions. He will put these same skills to work for Boone County government.
