Teen killed while crossing I-70 in St. Louis area

ST. LOUIS — A teenager is dead after being struck by a car while trying to cross Interstate 70 on foot in north St. Louis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as 18-year-old Arthur Caine of St. Louis. He died at the scene.

Caine was hit by a car about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday. The car was driven by a 23-year-old woman from Belleville, Ill. She is not expected to be charged.

Police say Caine may have also been struck by other cars.
