64th Annual Boone County Fair

When: July 21-31

Where: Boone County Fairgrounds, 5212 N. Oakland Gravel Road

Opens: 4 p.m. July 21-23;
10 a.m. July 24;
8 a.m. July 25;
4 p.m. July 26-27;
9 a.m. July 28;
10 a.m. July 29;
9:30 a.m. July 30;
7 a.m. July 31.

Admission: $5 adults; children under 6 are free

Highlights:

July 21: Miss Boone County queen competition — 7 p.m.

July 22: Little Mister and Miss Boone County Contest — 6 p.m.

July 23: 18th Annual Boone’s Lick Trail BBQ Contest — 4 p.m.; Pedal Pull — 7 p.m.; Jake Owen and Chris Filer — 7 p.m.

July 24:  Parade — 10 a.m.; Girl’s Baby Contest — 3:30 p.m.; Mud Racing — 7 p.m.

July 25: Boy’s Baby Contest — 3:30 p.m.; Demolition Derby — 7 p.m.

July 26: Draft Horse Pull — 7:30 p.m.

July 27-30:  Welde’s Grizzly Bear Show — 5:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.

July 28: Figure 8 Car Racing — 7 p.m.

July 29-30: Society Horse Show — 7:30 p.m.

July 30: Monster Truck Show — 7 p.m.

July 31: Ham Breakfast and Auction — 7 a.m.; Society Horse Show — 9:30 a.m.; Welde’s Grizzly Bear Show — 3 and 5 p.m.
