WASHINGTON — Democrats have set aside another $20 million for television ads to defend incumbents who are top Republican targets this November.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Thursday added 23 House districts where it has reserved time in media markets. The expanded list comes a day after Democrats reserved more than $7 million in markets served by 17 endangered members, according to a memo obtained by The Associated Press.
Democrats have now reserved $28 million in television ads, according to the plans. Both political parties typically reserve ad time well before they need it to lock in the best prices. They are not required to use the reserved time.
