Columbia Transit to test new bus routes Sunday; service to be suspended
Thursday, July 22, 2010 | 9:38 p.m. CDT
COLUMBIA — The city's transit drivers plan to test new bus routes Sunday afternoon.
Buses will not be picking up passengers all day and will not be in service, according to a Columbia Transit news release.
The new routes are scheduled to take effect Aug. 2. Testing of these routes will ensure they begin "as smoothly as possible," transportation supervisor Drew Brooks said in the news release.
All routes are scheduled to begin Aug. 2 except the 106 Brown Route, which is planned to begin its new route Aug. 16.
New maps and schedules are available on the city website by searching GoNewRoutes.
