MARSHALL — The driver of a pickup truck was killed when his vehicle collided with a train in downtown Marshall.

Marshall police Detective Sgt. Roger Gibson said details of the Tuesday morning accident, including the man's identity, were not yet available.

Two witnesses told The Marshall Democrat-News that they saw the truck being pushed down the tracks after the collision.

James Price and Corey Smith Sr. say they ran to the truck to check on the driver. Smith says the man was breathing but unresponsive when they reached the truck but eventually "went limp."
