JEFFERSON CITY— A southeastern Missouri businessman has been named to a state commission responsible for considering discipline and retirement of judges.
Gov. Jay Nixon on Tuesday appointed Barry Aycock to the Commission on Retirement, Removal and Discipline of Judges. The panel is responsible for recommending to the state Supreme Court when state or municipal jurists should be removed for physical or mental disabilities or disciplined for misconduct.
Aycock's term will expire at the end of 2015. He lives in Parma in New Madrid County and owns a company that develops and supplies fertilizer. He has served on the Parma City Council for eight years.
