Worker dies in forklift accident in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY — Authorities say a worker has died in a forklift accident at a National Archives facility in southern Kansas City.

Police spokesman Darin Snapp said the worker was operating a forklift on a dock when the accident happened Tuesday morning.

Kansas City Fire Department spokesman Joe Vitale said the victim was dead when paramedics arrived.

No other details were immediately available, including the name of the victim.
