DESOTO — Seven people face charges after a methamphetamine lab bust in Jefferson County.

KSDK-TV reported Tuesday that deputies responded to a home in DeSoto after someone complained of a chemical smell. Deputies say they found a meth lab in the home. One deputy was hurt during a struggle with one of the suspects.

Six of the suspects are from Missouri — three from Potosi, two from DeSoto, one from Dittmer. The other is from Granite City, Ill.

All seven are jailed and accused of attempting to manufacture meth.
