Rock Bridge beats Hickman in girls tennis match

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge High girls tennis team opened its season with a 9-0 win against Hickman High on Wednesday.

The No. 1 doubles match highlighted the dual. Sophi Farid and Savannah Everett jumped out to a 5-2 lead against Hickman's Maddie Buchanan and Dalesa Clark. The Hickman duo then rallied to take a 6-5 lead. Farid and Everett recovered to win the match 8-6.

Both schools will play in the Great 8 Tournament on Friday.
