Boone County to conduct evening sobriety checkpoint

COLUMBIA — The Boone County Sheriff's Department will be conducting an evening sobriety checkpoint sometime between Wednesday and Sunday, the department said Wednesday.

The checkpoint will begin in the evening hours, continue through the night and into the early morning the next day, according to a news release from the department.

The department received a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation Division of Highway Safety to fund the checkpoint.
