COLUMBIA — The University of Missouri announced that MU alumnus Randy Moehlmann was hired as the school's new public address announcer for the 2010 football season.

Moehlmann most recently worked as the public address announcer for the River City Rascals, a professional baseball team of the Frontier League located in O'Fallon, Mo. Moehlmann has also worked as the announcer of multiple sports at Webster Groves High School.

Moehlmann lives in Shrewsbury, Mo., with his wife and three children. He replaces Randy Wright, who had announced at MU for 22 years. Wright left after last season to become the executive director of multimedia at the University of Florida.
