Police look for two people who held up Wendy's

COLUMBIA — Two people held up a Wendy’s restaurant at gunpoint early Monday morning, and police are now searching for two suspects.

Police responded to a robbery call at the Wendy’s at 2116 Bernadette Drive at about 2 a.m. Reports said two people took an undisclosed amount of money from the restaurant and fled on foot. No shots were fired and there were no injuries.

A news release from the Columbia Police Department described the individuals as a black male with a skinny build, about 5 feet 7 inches tallwith dreadlocks and a black female, light skinned and wearing a black shirt and black shorts.

There are no suspects yet, but police are checking mall surveillance tapes for more information.
