JEFFERSON CITY — Democratic Senate candidate Robin Carnahan has donated more than $126,000 to the Missouri Democratic Party.
Carnahan's secretary of state campaign account reported transferring the money Aug. 13 to the state Democratic committee. She cannot use money from her state account for her Senate campaign.
The contribution equaled about one-third of the more than $350,000 that Carnahan reported having available July 1.
Carnahan is running against Republican Congressman Roy Blunt to replace retiring Sen. Kit Bond.
Carnahan's campaign said the funds were donated to the Democratic Party to help elect Democrats to state offices.
