COLUMBIA — A trip to Las Vegas, a 20-ounce steak dinner and a backhoe.
That's how Roger Cochran, winner of the Missouri Lottery's "5X The Fortune" prize, plans to spend his $25,000, according to a Missouri Lottery news release.
Cochran, 66, is the owner of Cochran Plumbing and the fourth member of his family to strike gold on lottery scratch tickets. His son, sister-in-law and sister have all taken home prizes in the past, but none close to his winning amount.
"It's just amazing," Cochran said in the news release. "I still can't believe it's really real!"
The biggest purchase Cochran will make is the backhoe. "We've wanted to buy a backhoe, but haven't yet, because they're pretty expensive," he said. "With this money, now we can get one."
In case the superstitious are interested, Cochran bought his winning ticket at Fastlane, 7701 Roanoke Drive.
