PERRYVILLE — An expansion project that will create 400 new jobs in southeast Missouri will get $5 million in state economic incentives.

Gov. Jay Nixon announced the package on Friday, at the Sabreliner facility at the Perryville Municipal Airport.

Work is scheduled to begin by next month on a new hangar to house expanded stripping and painting operations at the site. The Southeast Missourian reports that the construction should be completed by April.

Sabreliner's Perryville facility works on U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters, U.S. Air Force C-21 Learjets and other military aircraft.

The new facility will allow Sabreliner to paint more planes in less time and give needed space to work on larger aircrafts, carrying up to 20 passengers.
