MU men's golfers second at tournament

The Missouri men's golf team placed second Monday at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate in Verona, N.Y., trailing winner Purdue 897-900 in the three-round event.

Sophomore Jace Long led the Tigers individually with a three-round score of 221, finishing in a tie for second place with Seton Hall's Brandon Park, Binghampton's Jake Katz, and UConn's Jermey Troy. Oakland's Jakob Zeigler was medalist with a 215.

Brad Moody was the Tigers' next best finisher in ninth at 224, and teammate William Harrold finished in a five-way tie for 10th at 225.

Mizzou plays next Saturday and Sunday at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Indianapolis.
