Hallsville man killed in highway accident

COLUMBIA — A 21-year-old Hallsville man was killed in a vehicle accident early Sunday morning on Highway 124 in Boone County.

Michael Chandlee was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a traffic report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident happened at 2:34 a.m, near Route YY.

Chandlee’s 2003 Dodge Ram went off the left side of the roadway and hit several trees before Chandlee was ejected from the vehicle, according to the report.
