CLAYTON — A suburban St. Louis woman has pleaded guilty for knowingly performing an act of prostitution while infected with HIV.

KSDK-TV reports that 21-year-old Nigaila Gibbs of Richmond Heights will be sentenced Oct. 7. She pleaded guilty Friday.

Police say Gibbs had sexual encounters with several men despite knowing she had the virus that causes AIDS. Police said at the time of her arrest in July that two of her previous clients had also tested positive for HIV.
