Columbia College teams remain ranked in NAIA polls

COLUMBIA — Despite defeating defending NCAA Division II national champion Fort Lewis (Colo.) University, the Columbia College soccer team fell to No. 23 in the latest NAIA Top 25, which was released Tuesday.

Dylan Barduzzi and Ken Searles were selected as American Midwest Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for their performances against Fort Lewis. Barduzzi picked up a goal and an assist in the contest, while Searles recorded the shutout, making three saves.

The Cougars hit the road for their next game, facing off against the University of Missouri-Kansas City at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Cougars volleyball team retained its No. 8 ranking in the newest NAIA volleyball rankings. Columbia College is 9-1 and gets back to action Wednesday, hosting McKendree (Ill.) University.
