Rock Bridge soccer team rolls to 5-0 win

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge boys soccer team defeated visiting Quincy (Ill.) Notre Dame 5-0 on Tuesday to improve to 7-2.

The Bruins got off to a hot start when Ryan Schmidt opened the scoring six minutes into the contest. Matt Kelly followed with two tallies before halftime to give Rock Bridge a 3-0 halftime advantage.

Danny Baird scored his first goal of the season 10 minutes into the second half before Jake Rettke netted his first to finish the scoring.

Rock Bridge heads to Christian Brothers College on Wednesday in its next contest.
