ST. LOUIS — Missouri conservation officials are sponsoring a campout at the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers this weekend.
The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Columbia Bottom Conservation Area in north St. Louis County.
The Missouri Department of Conservation says the campout gives people a chance to experience the rivers in a new way. It also lets people learn about the outdoors in the company of experienced campers.
Activities will include sunset and sunrise hikes, exploring the area by water and a program on camp cooking.
