Man arrested on suspicion of rape

COLUMBIA – Columbia police arrested a man Friday on suspicion of forcible rape, according to a police report.

Police arrested Shenghe Chang, 36, at 6:40 p.m. at his home, according to the report. Police said a woman reported the incident at 11:40 p.m. Thursday.

According to the report, the woman told police she was raped in her apartment by Chang, whom she said she knew.

The woman went to University Hospital on Thursday night, according to police.  

Police said Chang's bond has yet to be set.
