Hickman cross country teams run well at Hazelwood

The Hickman boys and girls cross country teams both placed sixth Saturday at the Hazelwood Central Invitational.

The boys team placed sixth out of 21 teams. Devin Sander was the top Kewpies runner with a fourth-place finish, and William Starks placed 29th followed by Alex Nail, Daniel Lindaman, Chaston Kome and Charlie Carson.

The girls team was sixth out of 14 teams. Nicole Mello placed fourth for the Kewpies followed by Madison May, Adelyn Meyers, Erin Occena, Paige Oursler and Galit Rudelson.

Hickman compete next at 10 a.m. next Saturday at the Hancock Invitational in St. Louis.
