Columbia College volleyball team 2-1 at tournament

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College volleyball team closed out the Texas-Brownsville tournament over the weekend, finishing 2-1.

On Saturday, the Cougars defeated Lubbock Christian 25-10, 25-14, 25-21 in their first game of the day. Cougars then lost the final game of the tournament to host Texas-Brownsville 17-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-22, 15-10.

The Cougars beat Texas Wesleyan on Friday 22-25, 25-15, 25-7, 25-18.

Columbia College's Paula Ferreira and Vesna Trivunovic were named to the all-tournament team.

The Cougars play next against Hannibal-LaGrange at 7 p.m. Monday at the Arena of Southwell Complex.
