Nixon to announce aerospace firm expansion in Missouri

WASHINGTON, Mo. — Gov. Jay Nixon planned to visit eastern Missouri on Monday to announce that an aerospace parts maker will expand operations and will create new jobs.
The announcement was scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in Washington at the proposed site of a new plant to be built by Valent Aerostructures.
Valent is based in Lenexa, Kan., and operates plants in Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. The company supplies sub-assemblies for companies in commercial and military aerospace.
