Missouri-Colorado football game set for 6 p.m. start

Monday, September 27, 2010 | 1:43 p.m. CDT; updated 9:06 a.m. CDT, Tuesday, September 28, 2010

COLUMBIA — The Missouri football game on Oct. 9th against the Colorado Buffaloes will kick off at 6 p.m. and will be televised live on Fox Sports Net.

The selection was announced today by the Big 12 Conference office as part of its weekly television picks for games that weekend.

This will be the second cable telecast for Missouri this season.  The first broadcast was the season-opener against Illinois, which was also on Fox Sports Net.

The game will mark the 20th anniversary (just three days to the exact date) of the infamous 5th down game, which was played on Faurot Field on Oct. 6, 1990. It will also mark the last scheduled appearance in Columbia by Colorado.

The Buffaloes are departing the Big 12 for the Pac-10 Conference, starting next year.
